In our first Apocalypse Session, the completely eclectic and wonderful Otto Hashmi performs his new single “New Lands”. A brilliantly experimental young artist, Otto combines a huge variety of musical influences from his classical training on the Recorder and Oboe to his interest in Hiphop and Electronica, to create a sound that is entirely unique to him.
On the meaning behind the track Otto explains “New Lands is about our society’s push for acceleration, at whatever cost. When we’re so focused on moving at 100 miles an hour has anybody stopped to ask just where we’re actually going?”
